Vintage JB39 British Hand Held Brass Bell with Wooden Handle by James Barwell For Sale

This lovely large, LOUD, brass bell was made by the James Barwell Ltd. Company of Great Britain, circa 1939. It is stamped JB 39. It stands over 10 inches tall and the diameter of the bell is 5 inches. All parts are original. It’s in excellent condition. The video doesn\'t do justice to the bell\'s classic sound, because the microphone\'s automatic level control won\'t let it get \"too loud.\" (It can easily alert your entire neighborhood.)
Similar models are engraved with the initials ARP (Air Raid Precautions) in addition to the JB 39 that is stamped into this bell.Such large (LOUD) bells were used to signal the “all clear” during WWII.
